Students visited a local allotment site to observe what the local community members are growing and how the land is used. They toured the rice field, fed the chickens, rode the cow, picked some mulberries, and enjoyed some organic home-cooked meals.

The nursery class theme we’re on is called, “Can we explore it?” The theme encourages children to explore and adventure. For our field trip, we went to Kiddies’ House where we were able to explore a new place with a variety of equipment, toys, and games. It was a great trip that not only allowed them to be curious but also had them playing a lot together and building friendships.
For a fun phonics lesson for our letter of the week, R, we painted rainbows! This lesson combines phonics with a review of colors and grip practice with paintbrushes. While children take turns painting, the rest are listening to letter R songs and doing a worksheet to be able to identify the letter and learn other R words!
On Wednesday 2nd December BYIS students used half of their market day earnings to have their own special party. The students celebrated with their favorite food, lots of fun games, and party bags full of exciting gifts. Well done BYIS students, you deserve it!!! The students also decided that the remaining profit should go to a charity of their choice.
Year 3 is exploring the world of rivers and plants for their current theme.
