PRIMARY 6 PROGRAMMES


Our academic programmes follow the Basic Education Act of B.E 2551 (Revised edition 2017), as prescribed by the Ministry of Education. These programmes include the Immersion Programme, English Programme, Extra Programme, and Extra Programme Plus Chinese. As part of these programmes, our teachers apply the essential elements of Project-Based Learning (PBL) in their teaching, which draw from the Buck Institute Education in Napa, California. These elements are based from a comprehensive research to help promote our students’ intellectual skills, thinking and motivation; for example, students are able to engage in meaningful and real-world projects, to find and analyse resources and information, to connect with their personal experiences and interests, to make critical decisions and to reflect on their learning by asking questions and receiving feedback.

Immersion Programme

The Immersion Programme follows the Basic Education Act of B.E 2551(Revised edition 2017), as prescribed by the Ministry of Education. English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Health Education, P.E., Art, Occupations, and Computer are taught in English. Our English curriculum is based on the International Standards. Students are required to use English as a first language. There is an international environment all classrooms in order to promote English communication skills. Students will learn Chinese 1 period a week and extra co-curricular sports activities required 2 periods per week. Students are prepared for their O-NET exams as well as entrance exams to bilingual and international programmes in other well-known schools.

 

English Programme

The English Programme follows the Basic Education Act of B.E 2551(Revised edition 2017), as prescribed by the Ministry of Education. We promote active learning as well as 21st century learning approaches. Students are required to use English as a first language. 50% of lessons are taught in English which includes English, Mathematics, Science, Health Education and P.E.. Students will learn Chinese 1 period a week and extra co-curricular sports activities required 2 periods per week. We prepare them for their O-NET exams and entrance exams to bilingual programmes in other well-known schools.

 

Extra Programme

The Extra Programme follows the Basic Education Act of B.E. 2551 (Revised edition 2017), as prescribed by the Ministry of Education. Students are equipped with 21st century knowledge and skills which focus on communication, critical thinking, team work and creative thinking. We encourage them to take responsibility for their learning and prepare them for their O-NET exams. 80% of lessons are taught in Thai. They learn English as a second language for 7 periods a week (5 periods for international teacher and 2 periods for Thai teacher). Extra co-curricular sports activities required 2 periods per week.

 

EXTRA PROGRAMME PLUS CHINESE

Everything is the same as the Extra Programme, but in addition students have 2 Chinese lessons per week.
