At Secondary 5-6, we organise our curriculum based on the 2008 Basic Education Core Curriculum (Revised Edition B.E. 2560). As we teach this curriculum, we focus on developing students’ STEAM and Soft Skills which enable them to work and communicate effectively with others and have proficiency in science, mathematics, English, technology and art. We teach students to develop the specialized skills by allowing them to explore their own interests through a variety of subjects and encourage them to practice their critical thinking, creativity, problem solving and life skills. When students graduate from our school, we aim for them to apply these skills in their careers and further education. At Secondary 5-6, we provide the Communicative English Programme (CEP) to our students. In this programme, we have 4 learning streams including:
1. Science – Mathematics (IPST)
2. English – Mathematics
3. English – Chinese
4. English – Japanese
Students in the CEP-IPST programme study Thai and English in a 72:28 ratio. Thai and foreign teachers teach the core curriculum and focus on developing students’ STEAM and Soft Skills. The CEP-IPST programme is supported by the Institute for the Promotion of Teaching Science and Technology (NSTDA) and the Office of the Private Education Commission (NHSO), which emphasizes on the students’ potential and competence in science, mathematics, English, technology and art. Students in the CEP-IPST programme develop the skills according to NSTDA standards. For example, they develop critical thinking and creativity skills, learn to apply knowledge in practice, and solve problems. This programme also promotes learning activities such as STEM camps, field trips, and science projects. Students in this programme can choose to study Chinese or Japanese for 2 periods per week.
