In today’s world, communication equipment and computers have become an essential part in the student daily lives, to assist and ease them in carrying out their day to day work. The school foresees the importance and the need to have a quality computer room and therefore, have installed a very modern and up to date computer system and programs with sufficient number of stations to serve all the students in the set up.
Student Learning Center
Kindergarten students need development in all aspects through the process of playing. The Student Learning Center is considered as an additional avenue that can provide them with the ability to think creatively, stimulate them to learn as well as motivate them to seek more knowledge while allowing them to solve problems hands on. They will learn to think rationally, stay happy and enjoy learning.
The school gives full attention to provide high quality security standard for the students. The school buildings’ layout has been designed for specific purposes with safety walkway connecting all classrooms. It has installed electrical security door system, fire warning system and fire extinguishers, closed circuit cameras all around school compound including the application of student electrical ID card for the purpose of screening all students leaving the school area.
Our libraries support school programmes as well as the teaching and learning process. They serve students by providing materials to meet their various needs and encouraging reading and the use of libraries. Our students read to discover for themselves by independent study and learning how to ask questions.
The school provides hygienic canteen, good air circulation with clean and sturdy tables and chairs according to the Health Department Standard requirements.
We believe that the teaching of Science offers students the ability to access a wealth of knowledge and information that will contribute to an overall understanding of how and why things work like they do. In our Science Rooms, students are able to use this knowledge to understand new concepts, make well-informed decisions and pursue new interests.
As swimming is one of the best sports and a fun activity, we have provided at each campus a 25 meters long pool. Swimming helps for physical fitness as well as mental strength development. Children also learn about safety in the water which can be lifesaving.
Students at Beaconhouse Yamsaard Schools have well-taught stimulating classes in the gymnasium, they learned valuable physical skills, set a pattern for lifelong fitness and grew socially from their experiences. Our gym classes provide students with physical exercise on a consistent basis. It is particularly important for the physical well being of students who do not engage in physical activities outside of school.
At our campuses, we provide playgrounds that get students moving and having fun at the same time. Our playgrounds are to encourage students to run from one piece to another, giving them a healthy dose of cardiovascular, heart-healthy exercise. Part of the appeal of playgrounds is that students get to be around one another. They learn how to take turns and exercise self-control waiting for a swing to open up and etc. Social interaction in playgrounds is very important for student development.
The Chinese Language Room at Yamsaard Lardprao provides variety of resources students can use to practice their Chinese. At Beaconhouse Yamsaard, we believe that Chinese language has become very important in the 21st centuries. It plays an important role in preparing students for effective participation as global citizens.
Technology integration is the use of technology resources in daily classroom practices, and in the management of a school. In recent years, Thailand has launched its Educational Reform with principles aiming to develop the potential of information and communication technology. Playing table tennis increases one’s agility and flexibility, and most of all their reaction time.
Football helps our students develop agility, speed and stamina, and also teaches them the importance of teamwork. Football also requires students to be fit and firm throughout the games. Entry Requirements and Placement
BYIS accepts students of all nationalities. We evaluate each applicant to determine acceptance and appropriate placement. Previous school records are reviewed and considered in determining placement, so that students are placed at their appropriate instructional level.
Students are invited to visit and spend some time exploring the school environment and getting to know our experienced staff. On the strength of this visit and the earlier visit with the Principal, places are then offered and acceptance invited.
Although the majority of our students are fluent in English, some students are accepted into the school with very little or no English. Our English support teaching ensures that non-English speakers are readily integrated into the classroom learning environment.
Parents and guardians of new pupils are required to complete and submit these documents:
